Nancy O'Dell's career in broadcasting began as a reporter and anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. In the following years, she worked as a morning news anchor and the crime reporter at WCBD TV. Her reporting in Charleston on police leniency towards DUI cases resulted in an investigation by the State Law Enforcement Division investigating the DUI instances. Ms. O'Dell was recognized by the Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year award for all media in South Carolina. O'Dell's work in Charleston led her to serve as a co-anchor, reporter as well as NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV. Prior to she joined Access Hollywood she was a anchor on the weekdays and was also NBC's weekend co-anchor. O'Dell in addition to being the lead anchor for Access Hollywood, also appears on NBC News Today as well Dateline NBC. She has co-hosted a variety of pre-show arrivals to The Emmys as well as The Golden Globe Awards. Co-hosted also for the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
